The Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Buford City School System (BCSS) is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for BCSS staff, students, and the community. We achieve this through cutting-edge professional development initiatives, the provision of instructional materials, and a range of instructional services. Our overarching goal at BCSS is to empower every student, equipping them with the skills to thrive as globally competitive critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, responsible individuals, and productive citizens.

Our educational framework is built on a strong commitment to the Georgia Standards of Excellence and Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards. These standards serve as the basis for our curriculum. 

To further improve the learning experience, we use BCSS-Adopted and BCSS-Approved Instructional Materials in addition to the Georgia Standards of Excellence and Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards. This helps us provide our students with a well-rounded and enriching education..
